    Architectural Assistant / Designer

Thomas joined NRS in 2018, after graduating with a first class honours degree from the University of Cambridge in BA Architecture.

For his third year project, he focused on reviving the historic New Museum Site in Cambridge. This was driven by his thesis in which he interviewed Kenneth Frampton on his theory of an ‘architecture of resistance’, investigating how it could be applied to Soho London. Having lived and worked internationally, Thomas’ interests lie in how architecture shapes community, specifically questioning how ubiquitous architecture creates a homogenous experience of our cities.

Thomas enjoys working in a variety of ways, from construction projects such as HELLO WOOD Project Village in 2017, to being lead graphic designer for TEDxCambridge in 2018. He placed third nationally in ARTiculation 2015 for his talk on the Turbine Hall and has performed at the Fringe. He has also been involved in set, poster and album cover design and has run art workshops and festivals.

To relax, he enjoys playing football, going to galleries and skating.
