Ambulance Trains

We designed an exhibition around an historic railway carriage at the National Railway Museum in York, that tells the story of a First World War ambulance train. We built a new platform and created a series of immersive environments that tell the stories of individuals involved including staff and passengers, through original diaries, letters and drawings. We used actors in authentic costumes projected onto the carriage, with a soundscape of voices telling these extraordinary stories in people's own words. On the platform is a reflection in an exhibition format, that displays objects and original material.
