Elisenda Losantos
Senior Graphic Designer
Elisenda joined NRS in 2023 as a Senior Graphic Designer. She studied design at the University Pompeu Fabra Elisava Barcelona where her master thesis was about the ‘Museum of Tolerance’ in Los Angeles, analysing how exhibition design affected the attitudes of the visitors around the topic being displayed. As well as design, she also comes from a background studying tourism, museology and advertising, that all contribute to her holistic understanding of cultural projects.
Having worked in-house at the Science Museum for over eight years, she has an expertise in exhibition graphic design. Whilst there she worked on a number of high profile projects including environmental and interpretation graphics for many exhibitions and displays, such as the RIBA award winning Mathematics Gallery by Zaha Hadid Architects, from concept to final artwork.
She developed design concepts for print and digital advertising campaigns supporting exhibition and new gallery promotion, and a range of material to promote membership, touring exhibitions, fundraising, and events. She also wrote briefs, researched and agreed graphic production methods and materials for signage, large graphics and traditional print, taking into account maintenance, fixing methods, longevity and cost.
She is currently working on several exhibition projects at NRS, including a new visitor experience through a castle.
