Gabrielle Sarmiento

Gabbie joined Nissen Richards Studio in 2018 after she graduated with a first class degree from the University of Westminster with a BA honours in Interior Architecture. Her final undergraduate thesis project was based on technological awareness and this was evident in her final project that she developed from the story of ‘Mary’s Room’, written by philosopher Frank Jackson in 1982, for which she made reference to the film ‘Ex-Machina’. The story of the film she then translated into the project’s spatial narrative and programme.

Gabbie also has a special interest in painting which she does during her spare time and has studied since childhood. She enjoys experimenting with a wide range of materials and mediums in her representations; including paint in all its forms.
