Will joined Nissen Richards Studio in 2019 to join the graphics team. Originally, Will qualified as an Architectural Technician while working as an apprentice for a Derby-based practice, but after 8 years decided to peruse a new career in graphic design. He then completed his degree at Nottingham Trent University in 2017 with first class honours.
After completing his degree, Will worked as a graphic designer for Paul Smith. Then, after initially approaching them due to his interest in their work, moved to Joff and Ollie Studio in Nottingham, with a focus on typography and book design, mainly for artists and exhibitions.
Will has an eye for uncluttered, considered design and his main points of interest being print, typography and book-making.
In his spare time, Will is a keen photographer, and has developed somewhat of a personal style by taking photos using a long exposure technique, where exposures range from 30 seconds to 5 minutes, with subjects from architecture and minimal landscapes.
