Creek Road, Greenwich, London
Creek Road is the redevelopment of near-derelict buildings that included a former bookshop and adjacent house into a mixed-use proposal. Through an efficient process of testing and retesting our proposals in sketches and quick visualisations we were able to maximise the potential for the site with a new 4-5 storey building that resulted in resounding support from the Local Planning Authority, with full planning permission granted in May 2017. The proposals include a mix of dwellings including larger family duplex units, together with smaller units, but all provided with roof terraces or integral balconies that were used to generate a robust yet carefully designed masonry form. At ground floor and basement levels, commercial and ancillary spaces are located that also continue the new ribbon of activity along Creek Road.
