Lion Yard is a new development for Danescroft Land on the site of a former public house and creates a collection of six contemporary homes in the heart of High Barnet. Taking advantage of the sloping site, the houses are arranged over a split level creating a series of individual rooms that provide spacious yet self-contained spaces. Rising to three storeys the roof forms are stepped at the rear to reduce the visual height of the garden elevations and mitigated the concerns of the local planning authority regarding the potential visual intrusion to the existing properties to the south.
