Magic Worlds

Magic Worlds at the V&A Museum of Childhood, explores the captivating realms of magic, inviting visitors to explore its diverse themes including the worlds of witches, fairies, fantasy, illusions and spells.

The exhibition is a fantastical mix of scenery and costumes, object displays, art and books, evocative games and toys, optical mysteries and dramatic puppets following three distinct yet complementary themes of Fantasy, Illusion and Enchantment.

We led a team of collaborators to create atmospheric lighting, evocative graphics and sets, with sound and other interpretive effects to bring the subject to life with a diverse array of content, housed in a series of immersive environments following the key themes. Following its run in London that opened in October 2011, the exhibition will begin a nationwide tour.
