Music Hall: Sickert and the Three Graces

This exhibition ‘Music Hall: Sickert and the Three Graces’ was designed for the V&A Museum and opened in 2013 in their Theatre & Performance Gallery.

Collaborators we worked with for this exhibition include the theatre director Katie Mitchell, graphic designers Mar Mar Co, and lighting designers Studio ZNA.

The centrepiece of the exhibition was a newly commissioned play by Tanika Gupta, which we art directed and was played out through a film by Grant Gee. The play explores the lives of the performers at the Bedford Music Hall in Camden. The exhibition gave visitors an opportunity to wander through a stage set, to experience the rich history of the now demolished music hall, through the ephemera displayed.
