Nature, Camera, Action!

This children’s exhibition we designed at the National Media Museum, Bradford opened in July 2014 and closed on the 12th October.

The focus was natural history film makers and photographers, and the exhibition was packed full of interactives and things to discover. Drawing on the museum’s extensive collection, we created a series of environments with different habitats and animals. Films, interactive labels, glow-in-the-dark text, and dress-up sit alongside large cut-out animals and line drawings; to engage children’s imaginations and to help them understand how these films were made.

We led a team of collaborators to create atmospheric lighting, evocative graphics and sets, with sound and other interpretive effects to bring the subject to life with a diverse array of content, housed in a series of immersive environments following the key themes.
