Amy Kempa

Architectural Assistant / Designer

Amy joined Nissen Richards Studio in 2019, after graduating from the Bartlett School of Architecture.

Through her studies at the Bartlett, she was particularly interested in working at contrasting scales – which culminated in her final project, ‘Manufacturing Living’. This focussed on re-imagining the forgotten rural hinterlands and countryside of Hong Kong, through its reconstruction and return to a landscape of production with a focus towards future community living and civic engagement. Working through a mixture of analogue and digital tools, the scheme aimed to create a new typology of work live environment, one of a self-sustaining nature, functioning between the symbiotic exchange between living, production and the surrounding landscape.

Amy is also a keen traveler and has a passion for exhibitions and films. She is currently working on a series of exhibition projects.
