Conrad joined Nissen Richards Studio in 2026, bringing with him experience spanning architecture, hands-on making, and narrative-driven design. His student work explored how physical modelling, freehand drawing, and craft practice can uncover the poetic and spatial possibilities of a building before its form is fixed, rooted in an interest in art and sculpture as a starting point for design.

He holds a BSc in Architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, graduating with First Class Honours, where he also mentored students in the years below him. Since then, he has interned across a range of practices, including Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and Bureau de Change Architects, and co-founded shape+scale, a design collective producing visualisations for live construction projects, in which he and fellow students also design and build sculptures, using both as a testing ground for ideas around scale, material, and site that sit outside the usual bounds of practice. Alongside this, he has developed a hands-on making practice spanning timber carpentry, 3D printing, laser cutting, metalwork, and casting, and holds a particular interest in bespoke furniture design.

Before joining the studio, Conrad worked as an art teacher at Hampstead School of Art, teaching classes for both seniors and younger children.

Outside of architecture, Conrad plays golf with tremendous enthusiasm.
