Dario Pianesi
Senior Graphic Designer
Dario graduated from the Glasgow School of Art with a Master in Communication Design in 2016. Prior to this he studied Industrial Design at the University of Venice, IUAV.
Before joining Nissen Richards Studio in 2017, Dario worked in Italy for design studios in Milan and Parma, where he designed visual identities and editorial projects for the opera house La Scala, Milan Expo 2015, Interni Magazine, Ducati Motor Holding and Lamborghini. In 2017 he worked as freelance for the two largest exhibitions running alongside the Venice Biennale: Personal Structures and Venice design.
His personal projects investigate the idea of cultural identity within the fields of architecture, design, and art history, through a design approach focused on researching the physical possibilities of design, the use of different print techniques, materials and scales.
He has worked on many projects at Nissen Richards Studio, including the Great Exhibition of the North, the Shire Hall Historic Courthouse Museum and the new brand identity for the Wordsworth Museum.
