Francesco Bitelli

Associate / Senior Architect

Francesco joined Nissen Richards Studio in 2022 and has since worked on significant architecture and exhibition projects, bringing to the table his passion for carefully-crafted design and a track record of designing and delivering high-profile projects at different scales and across different sectors.

Before relocating to the UK in 2016, he worked on a number of retail and residential projects in Italy, particularly in the automotive sector.
In London, he was involved in the design of large scale residential schemes and of high-profile office projects including a 200,000sq.ft building in Farringdon, gaining extensive experience from the planning to the construction stages.

Since joining Nissen Richards Studio, Francesco has worked on the design and delivery of a significant industrial heritage and maritime museum in Malaysia. He has contributed to successful planning applications for residential and office schemes in London, such as the renovation and extension of a private club and office building within a conservation area in Kensington and has been involved in other major projects such as the expansion plans for Clwb Ifor Bach, an iconic music venue in Cardiff, and the sustainable conversion of former farm buildings in Kent, in the Green Belt.

Francesco relishes the design challenges of working on sensitive sites and buildings and values the technical aspects of his job, including working in close collaboration with clients, consultants and contractors for the delivery of high-quality designs.
