Tom joined Nissen Richards in 2026, after graduating with distinction from the University of Cambridge, where he was nominated for the Architect’s Journal Postgraduate Student Prize. He previously received a 1st class BA from Nottingham University.

His university work focused on experimental preservation, exploring how architectural interventions can reanimate vulnerable heritage sites and mediate between stabilisation and ongoing change. His professional experience includes working on significant Grade I listed cultural institutions, supporting masterplanning, deep decarbonisation, and detailed construction packages at Wright and Wright Architects.

Outside of the studio Tom is a keen long-distance runner and cyclist, and enjoys multi-day hikes, photography, and exploring museums and galleries.
