We created a suite of labels and interpretation panels that used the same materials as the showcases and furniture throughout the galleries. Folded patinated metal labels with printed card, are fixed to the wall and are easily replaceable. The wall mounted or freestanding panels, use Corian to match the way finding and case mounting, and create the introductions to each room. Etched panels form indents for images to be inserted so that they are flush with the surface. Labels either sit at an angle for clearer reading, onto the existing dado level, or directly onto the wall next to the paintings. Within showcases they sit at an angle onto the mounting Corian blocks.
