This refurbishment of the existing Grade I Listed lecture theatre included designs for a new decorative acoustic lining, control box and finishes, as well as coordination of the works.
These subtle motifs – developed with a scenic painter – just catch the light from certain angles and create a clear contemporary feel that has a memory of the past.
We worked closely with the V&A staff, an acoustic consultant, English Heritage and the London Borough of Kensington & Chelsea to achieve a refurbishment that not only improved the quality of the space, but also gave it a contemporary feel.
