Wayfinding

Wayfinding and donor naming as part of the graphic design for the galleries

Wayfinding

The Wayfinding and donor naming, is part of the overall graphic and gallery design approach, and the palette of materials runs through both. Patinated metal cut out letters, can be removed in key locations using a base plate. Staircase and lift wayfinding panels are made of Corian, with etched letters filled with a colour filler. We carefully chose the Corian colour and texture to read against the colour of the walls, using a consistent colour for case inserts within showcases. Temporary exhibitions are printed onto vinyl and can be replaced easily. Other wayfinding has been screenprinted directly to the walls of the building.
